Elderly man scammed for thousands

I read a story the other day about an elderly man in Chicago, who was said to be a whizbang in the insurance and financial worlds for decades, being taken for thousands of dollars by scam artists. His children said their spry retired father was the last guy in the world they would imagine being snared in a money scam. But in a mere month the 80-year-old grandfather was conned out of an estimated $25,000.
