Olla to lease Holloway building
The Olla Town Council approved necessary documents during their regular March meeting held Tuesday night of last week for a loan to be used to make improvements to the Holloway building which will be leased to the state for storage and a possible emergency shelter. After a public hearing brought no public comments, the Council approved the loan for $400,000 through an ordinance, which authorizes the town to take out a loan to make improvements to the Holloway building. The improvements are required as per the town’s five-year agreement with the State of Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services to rent the building for storage of emergency supplies and to use as a possible emergency shelter.
