The Potty Tannehill Memorial Park in Urania is now officially renovated

The Potty Tannehill Memorial Park in Urania is now officially renovated and open to the public with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday at the park. The park bathroom facilities were recently completed, which ended the portion of the park renovation project funded by the Live Lively LaSalle! Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Louisiana Foundation grant. Those present were: Jena Mayor Murphy McMillin, Urania Town Employee Stanley Lee, LEDD Executive Director Cynthia Cockerham, Olla Councilman Joe Rachal, Urania Town Employee Jay Banes, Olla Town Clerk Wendy Allbritton, Urania Mayor Terri Corley, Olla Councilman Jay Ivy’s granddaughter Leah Steen, Blue Cross-Blue Shield Grant Project Researcher Elizabeth Gollub of Pennington Biomedical Research Center, Urania Assistant Town Clerk Chel Williams, Olla Councilwoman Rhonda Elliott, Urania Council members Stacie Strain, Pat McDougald and Jay Ivy and Urania Town Clerk Sandy Callender.
