Clara Bell Malcomb

Clara Bell Malcomb, 90, of Grayson, passed from this life on Monday, December 9, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born February 14, 1923 in Columbia to the union of her parents, J. K. and Lula Petty Newman. Mrs. Malcomb was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, as well as a great friend. Services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 11, from the sanctuary of Pleasant Grove Church of God of Grayson with Rev. Floyd Duchesne officiating and Rev. Aaron Ricks delivering the eulogy. Interment followed in the Old Bethel Cemetery west of Clarks under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; five grandchildren; two sisters; three half sisters, and two half brothers. Survivors include two daughters, Gloria Poole and husband Enoch of Grayson,
and Mary Franklin of Olla; one son, Charles Johnson of Alabama; granddaughters, Cathy and Eddie Dunn, Nancy and David Broussard, and grandson, Charles Oxner; great grandchildren, Amber and Jeff Young, Makayla
Dunn, Madalyn Oxner and Cady Oxner, and great great grandson, Eli Young. Pallbearers were Mike Hogg, Mitch Bratton, Randy Hatten, Terry Pauley, Elbert Lee Pauley, and Tracey Pauley. Honorary pallbearers were Buddy Nugent, Clint Simmons and Wade Simmons.
