Jessie M. Paul, 86, of Nebo, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at LaSalle Nursing Home of Jena. She was born August 3, 1927 in Jena to the union of her parents, Louis and Sarah “Sally” Bignar Coon.
Mrs. Paul was a homemaker and member of Shady Grove United Pentecostal Church of Nebo. She was owner of Paul’s Nursery. Services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 3, at Shady Grove United Pentecostal Church of Nebo with the Revs. Curtis Thornton, Joey Paul and Ken Campbell officiating.  Interment followed in the Nebo Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Martin Paul; sisters, Lea Adams, Cordelia Paul, and Annie Womack; and brothers, Arthur W. Coon, Orville Coon, Aubrey Coon, and Charles Coon. Survivors include one son, Louis Paul and wife Jane of Trout; two daughters, Geneva A. Dupuis and husband Buddy of Nebo, and Leona Paul Ingle of Jonesville; one sister, Mary Huffman of Nebo; six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  Pallbearers were Don Adams, Rickey Shirley, Gordon Paul, James Paul, Jamie Pritchard, and Doyle Stevenson.
