Lila Lee Roark, 80, of Olla, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at LaSalle General Hospital of Jena. She was born September 24, 1933 in Jena to the union of her parents, Elias Poole and Hattie Poole.
Mrs. Roark was a custodian for Jena Junior High School in Jena. Services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 3, at Antioch Free Methodist Church with Rev. Glen Roark officiating. Interment followed in the Antioch Free Methodist
Church Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thurman Roark; sons, Terry Roark and Justin Roark; and grandson, Terry Breithaupt.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Jones of Bossier City, and Marsha Smith of Whitehall; sons, Larry Roark and wife Marsha of Ferriday, and Danny Roark of Summerville; sister, Patsy Thacker of Dodson; 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Tommy Sharp, James Roark, Sam Roark, Jesse Hudnall, Matthew Roark, and Daniel Roark. Honorary pallbearers were Douglas Thacker, Charles Roark, and Phillip
Hartley.
