Albert Leroy Lutrick, 81, of Longview, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 30, 2014. He was born April 16, 1932 to the union of Curtis M. Lutrick, Sr. and Glaffey Ola Dunn Lutrick. Albert was a retired operator for Lebus Manufacturing. He graduated from Jena High School in 1950, where he played football. He served his country in the United States Air Force for four years. Services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 3, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Longview, TX, with Rev. John Wellingford officiating. Interment followed in Memory Park Cemetery in Longview under direction of Welch Funeral Home of Longview. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Lutrick; his parents; stepmother, Clara Partin Lutrick; and four brothers, Curtis “Pete” Lutrick, Jr., John “Tencie” Lutrick, Earl Lutrick, and Vernon Lutrick. Survivors include two step-sons, Mike Waldron and wife Linda of Garland, TX, and David Waldron of Trinity, TX; two brothers, James Lutrick and Mack Lutrick, both of Jena; five sisters, Rosemary Smith, Emma Lee Sharp, and Margaret Lambert and husband Whitney, all of Jena, Illa Mae Cox of Vidalia, and Ena Ewing of Tullos; numerous step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
