Estelle Stapleton Allen, 77, of Columbia, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 28, 2014, at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia Heights following an extended illness. She was born July 8, 1936 at Columbia to the union of her parents, John Wesley Stapleton and Fannie Laura Davis Stapleton. Services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, March 31, from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Harrell “Bubba” Tucker
officiating. Interment followed in the Welcome Home Cemetery, located just east of Grayson, under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Leonard Allen; and two precious daughters, Laura Tucker and Melissa Allen. Survivors include two daughters, Monica Gentry and husband Gary , and Lea Ann Allen, all of Columbia; four sisters, Betty Sharp, Arlene Ruddell, Jo Ann Bresett, and Virginia LeDaux; four grandsons, Zeb Tucker, Jacob Gentry, Zack Gentry and Brian Fatheree; and five great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Zeb Tucker, Jacob Gentry, Zack Gentry, Jesse Jacks, Gary Tucker, and Gary Gentry.
