George T. “Bo” Mannon

George Terry “Bo” Mannon, 74, of Harrisonburg, passed from this life on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at the Columns Community Care Center in Jonesville. He was born March 1, 1940 in Truman, Arkansas, to the union of his parents, James Louisaac and RuthLee Bell Gann Mannon. Bo was a machine operator in the farming business. Services were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 17, at Bethel Assembly of God Church in Harrisonburg with the Revs. Lanny Head and Bobby Rodrigue officiating. Interment followed in the Providence Memorial Park Cemetery in Gilbert under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Jake (J.L.) Mannon, Mae Mannon Miller, James Matthew Mannon, Edward Lee (Cotton) Mannon, Audrey Lavanda Mannon Grant, Alice Lavada Mannon Perkins and Virginia Pauline Mannon. Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Baker Mannon of Harrisonburg; two sons, Jim Randall Mannon of Brookhaven, MS, and Jonathan Mannon of Bowie, Maryland; one brother, Billy Mannon of Jena; and four grandsons. Pallbearers were Charlie Mannon, Bobby Stafford, Darryll Baker, Johnny Parnell, Gene Baker, and Randy White. Honorary pallbearers were Tiny Mannon, Jamie Mannon, Seth Baker, Gaylon Perkins, Gary Perkins, Gary Don Humphries, and Steven Windham.
