Loyd Carl Buckley, 86, of the Zenoria Community, was  received into Heaven on Sunday, April 20, 2014. He was born on Friday, December 9, 1927 in Atlantic, Iowa, to the union of John Franklin and Inez Scott Buckley.
Mr. Buckley was a veteran of the United States Army and was a retired iron worker. He loved woodworking and traveling. Services were at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, at Georgetown Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Griffith officiating. Interment followed in the Chalk Hill Cemetery in the Little Creek Community under direction of Kinner and Stevens  Funeral Home of Jena. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of 30 years, Sylvia Davidson Lott Buckley. Survivors include a son, James Lee Buckley; a daughter, Robin Buckley; a step-daughter, Ann Lott Kendrick; one step-son, Rafford Lott; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Pallbearers were Terry Maxwell, Walter Allbritton, W. C. Holloway, Quentin Ates, Terry Boyett, and Mike Brown.
