Marilyn Alice Boothe Nobles, 75, of Harrisonburg, passed from this life on Sunday, April 20, 2014, at St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. She was born Friday, April 22, 1938 in Wallace Ridge Community in Catahoula Parish to the union of her parents, Marion and Leona Perry Tolbert. Marilyn was a member  of Wallace Ridge Pentecostal Church. Services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 23,  at Wallace Ridge Pentecostal
Church with the Revs. Todd Tucker, Norris Poole and Danny G. Chance officiating. Interment followed in the Joe Boothe Cemetery of Harrisonburg under direction of Young’s Funeral Home of Jonesville. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Otis Boothe; brother, Riley Tolbert; infant sister, Flonnie Tolbert; four sisters, Mildred Terry, Minnie Lea Brown, Melia Brown, and Lelah Brown; and infant grandson, Jacob Ainsworth.
Survivors include her husband, Sanford “Stan” Nobles of Harrisonburg; daughter, Sheila Boothe of Harrisonburg; five sons, Clayton  Boothe of Alexandria, Kenneth Boothe and wife Connie, Colin Boothe and wife Kathy,
all of Harrisonburg, Michael Boothe and wife Sharon of Jonesville, and Daniel Nobles of Illinois; two brothers, Roy Tolbert of Aimwell and Chalmus “Cham” Tolbert of Jonesville; ten grandchildren, and seven great  randchildren. Pallbearers were grandsons, Jarrod Tolar, Jason Ainsworth, Jody Tomlinson, Dr. Ethan Boothe, Elijah Boothe, Alexander Boothe, Rory Boothe, and Noah Ainsworth.
