Mary Sue Poole Puckitt, 93, of Olla, went to meet Jesus on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at the Winnfield Nursing and Rehab Center in Winnfield. She was born on October 7, 1920. Services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 26, at the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla with Rev. Eddie Riley officiating.  Interment followed in the Olla Cemetery under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla. She was preceded in death by her father, James W. Poole, who was born in Winnfield; her mother, Maggie Stovall Poole, who passed away when Mary Sue was five-years old; the bulk of the Stovall family came from the Stovall Plantation in Jackson Parish; her husband, George Charles Puckitt; son, Charles Allen Puckitt, who went to meet Jesus on Jan. 29, 2008; her brother, James Willie Poole, Jr.; her step-mother, Angie Hendricks Poole; and her half-sister, Barbara Lipsey. Survivors include her beloved grandchildren, Tim Allen Puckitt, Kathy Elizabeth Puckitt, and Debra Jeanne Puckitt; great grandchildren, Chad Allen Puckitt, Brett Austin Puckitt, Kristen Paige Puckitt, and Lauren Victoria Stringer; a host of great great grandchildren; her half-sister, Jimmie Lou Roberts; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews
