Bennie Coleman, 79, of Pineville, and formerly of Columbia, passed from this life on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at his residence. He was born September 6, 1934 in Summerville to the union of his parents, Charles and Lettie Coleman. Bennie was a retired auto body repairman. He served his country in the United States Army for three years, having served in the Korean Conflict. Services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 6, in the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla with Rev. Todd Whittington officiating. Interment followed in the Squires Cemetery near Summerville under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kim Coleman Broussard; his parents; brother, Murphy Coleman; and two sisters, Alice Grafton and Ruth Crick. Survivors include three sons, Roger Coleman and wife Wanda of Pineville, Lance Coleman and wife Amber of
Tullos, and Mark Coleman of North Carolina; two brothers, Bobby Coleman and Ted Coleman; one sister, Betty Ann Rambin; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Shane McDaniel, Harold Keene,
Chad Renfrow, Brandon Renfrow, Cecil Jones, and Bruce Jones
