Doris Jean Esters Bjorn, 74, of Gilmer, Texas, passed from this life on Friday, June 6, 2014, in Tyler, Texas. She was born on Monday, March 11, 1940, in Jena to the union of Willard and Annie Spain Esters. Services were held at 10  a.m., Monday, June 9, in the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena with Rev. Jim Wolstenhom officiating.  Interment followed in the Belah Cemetery in the Belah- Fellowship Community, under direction of Kinner and Stevens, Inc. of Jena. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Aliene Dickson. Survivors include her husband, Vilho Bjorn; two sons, Allan Price and wife Kristin of Ridgefield, CT, and Eddie D. Price of Winona, TX, and Debra “Deb” Bradford and husband John of Natchitoches; one brother, Will Esters and wife Judy of Rockport, TX; two sisters, Gloria Martens and husband Edgar of Shreveport, and Sherri Williamson and husband Curt of Beggs, OK; trusted friend and loved one, Liz Bradshaw; eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Gary Mitchell, Toby Wise, Jeffrey Robison, David Lopez, Jacob Price, and Eric Price.
