Theresa Belote, 92, of Jena, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, in West Monroe. She was born December 8, 1921 in Coplay, PA to the  union of her parents, Frank and Karoline Myers Potzman. Her family migrated from Austria and settled in Eastern Pennsylvania in 1913. Mrs. Belote was a homemaker  and was dedicated to her children. Services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 21, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers
Funeral Home of Jena with Rev. Dominick DiCarlo officiating. Interment followed in the Woodland Cemetery, eastof Jena, under direction of Hixson Brothers, Inc. of Jena. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Belote; daughter-in-law, Lisa Franklin Belote; brothers, Frank Potzman, Jr., John Potzman, Edmund Potzman, Emil Potzman, Robert Potzman, and Albert Potzman; and sisters, Rose Carlson and Anna Cigus. Survivors include two sons, Roger Belote and wife Karen of Rayville, and John Belote of Little Creek; two daughters, Patricia Beard and husband Larry of Batesville, MS, and Linda Racconi and husband Robert of Greenville, MS; sister, Margaret DeRodeff of Sonora, CA; four grandsons, Jason Beard and wife Petra of New Braunfels, TX, Eric Beard of Batesville, MS, James Belote of Kansas City, KS, and Clay Belote of Rayville; step-granddaughter, Kelly Jones of Jena; two great grandchildren, Gavin Beard of Batesville, MS, and Emily Beard of New Braunfels, TX; and two step-grandsons, Bryce Jones and Brennan Jones, both of Jena. Pallbearers were Jason Beard, Eric Beard, James Belote, Clay Belote, Gavin Beard, and Austin Morace. Honorary pallbearers  were Roger Malcomb, James Noel, Dr. Charles Clauss, Lyle Ganey, and Rocky Weaver
