Angel Fay – Hayden Matthew Kayden Isaiah

Graveside services for triplets, Angel Fay, Hayden Matthew and Kayden Isaiah Wells was held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at the Woodland Cemetery, east of Jena, with Rev. Marion Trisler officiating. Interment followed under
direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Angel Fay Wells passed away Sunday, May 17, at her residence near Jonesville, and Hayden Wells and Kayden Wells passed away Wednesday, May 20, at Rapides Regional Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Alexandria. Survivors include their father, Justin Darrin Wells; their mother, Joni LeeAnn Smith; brothers, Hunter Lee Smith and Darrin Lee Wells; maternal grandparents, Leonard Smith, Jr. and Sylvia Smith of Grayson; paternal grandparents, Nick Feduccia and Meshell Feduccia of Alexandria; great grandmothers, Bera Jones of Jonesville, Jimmie Hamilton of Rhinehart, and Viola Earls of Sandy Lake. Pallbearers were Leonard Smith, III, and Curtis Wright.

Donald Stevenson

Donald Stevenson, 80, of Georgetown, entered eternal rest on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at his residence. Mr. Stevenson enjoyed a career working as a meat cutter in the grocery industry. He was an officer in the U. S. Navy and served his country with pride. He was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather, and was a great friend to those who knew him. Services were held at 4 p.m., Saturday, May 9, in the chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home of Ball with the Revs.
Greg Carroll and Brad Bunting officiating. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis A. Stevenson. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Phyllis Stevenson of Georgetown; two daughters, Donna L. Bartley and husband Vince of Atlanta,
and Patty Laird and husband Rob of Olla; and seven grandchildren.

Buster Eric Scroggs, Jr.

Buster Eric Scroggs, Jr., 62, of Jena, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at his residence. He was born May 5, 1953 in Jena to the union of his parents, Buster Scroggs, Sr. and Annie White Scroggs. Buster was store manager
for Bell Supply and was recently elected store manager of the year for 2014. He was highly regarded by customers, vendors and fellow employees. He was also a cattleman and loved hauling hay. Buster was a Baptist by faith. Services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 29, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with the Revs. Tommy Prince and Charlie Anderson officiating. Interment followed in the Jena Cemetery, east of Jena, under direction of Hixson

Jack Cedric Platzer

Jack Cedric Platzer, 73, of Tullos, passed from this life on Friday, May 29, 2015, at his residence in Tullos. He was born September 1, 1941 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to the union of his parents, Robert Paul and Lena Mastinardi Platzer.
Jack was a retired U.S. Army Intelligence Officer, who served about 28 years in the military. He was one of the guest speakers at a Memorial Day program held in Tullos on Saturday, May 30, 2015. Survivors include his wife, Henrietta Spruell Platzer of Tullos; two sons, Michael Vines of Deville and Jeffery Vines of Vicksburg, MS; sisters, Kathy Poole of Pascagoula, MS and Lisa; nephew, William Matthew Poole of Lafayette; and six grandchildren.

Sybil Louise Methvin

Sybil Louise Methvin, 67, of Jena, passed from this life on Monday, May 25, 2015 at the LaSalle General Hospital of Jena. She was born July 4, 1947 in Jena to the union of her parents, Fred Clayton Methvin and Nellie Rae Simpson Methvin. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church where she attended as her health would allow. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Survivors include two brothers, Fred Methvin and wife Margie of Monroe and Jerry Methvin of Bedford, NH; niece, Tracy Methvin Armstrong and husband Mark; nephew, David Methvin; great nieces, Mara, Emily, Shannon, Allison, and Katy; great nephew, David; great great nephew, Sebastien. Memorials may be made to the Foundation for Prader- Willi Research.
