Nebo Elementary third graders from Teacher Brittany Jacksonâs class released butterflies with Allen Jones of RMS after the students raised the butterflies from a caterpillar to a cocoon to hatch into butterflies as part of their butterfly observation kits provided by RMS (Resource Management Service) and the Busy Bee Garden Club. Several schools around LaSalle Parish raised and released butterflies grown from donated kits by RMS, the Busy Bee Garden Club and the Olla Pinewood Garden Club.

Butterflies released by parish students
The skies throughout LaSalle Parish have been filled with beautiful butterflies of late, as third graders released their classroom butterfly projects into the wild. The Butterfly Project, sponsored by Resource Management Services (RMS) in conjunction with the Busy Bee Home & Garden Club of Jena and the Olla Pinewood Garden Club, saw boxes filled with cocooned caterpillars placed into the classrooms of third graders as part of an annual project to promote the environment.
