Next Monday, November 11th, is Veterans Day – a time to pause and honor our veterans, both those who have gone on before and those still with us. Four public programs are being planned in the parish to honor our veterans. I encourage everyone to attend at least one, and more if possible, to express your appreciation to our veterans. Beginning early on Monday, Nov. 11, veterans in the Olla, Tullos and Urania area will be treated to a breakfast at the Recreation Center in Urania at 8 a.m. The Urania town Hall staff, assisted by volunteers, does an excellent job in honoring the veterans with this early morning event.
