Jordan Mitchell (22) of the Jena Giants tackles a Jennings Bulldog during Jena’s first round playoff game in Jennings last week.
By Greg Jones

The Giants were coming off the biggest upset in 3A football last weekend and looking for another great game in Jennings, as they entered the first round of state playoffs in their class. Jena took the opening kickoff and kept it for 7 plays when Chevy Thornton found the end zone from 17 yards out, but the extra point was blocked and Jena led the Bulldogs 6-0.
