The LaSalle Tigers’ quest to become the first team in school history to reach the quarterfinals fell short last Friday night on a rain drenched field as Montgomery won 18-6 in the regional playoff game, claiming the quarterfinal spot. LaSalle took the opening kickoff at the Montgomery 48-yard line after a good return by T’Keil Smith. After a 12-yard completion to Logan Wilson on 4th and 8, the Tigers had to turn it over on downs to Montgomery at their own 39-yard line.
