Mitchell Keith Collins, 79, of Jena, passed from this life on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at his residence. He was born Friday, February 2, 1934 in Urania to the union of J. T. and Mae Collins.  Mr. Collins was a member
of Belah United Pentecostal Church. Services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 16, in the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home in Jena with Rev. David Hutchinson officiating. Interment followed in the  Belah Cemetery under direction of Kinner and Stevens, Inc. of Jena. He was predeceased by his parents; a son, Kevin Collins; and two brothers, Malcolm Collins and Matelyn Collins. Survivors include his wife, Verda Brown Collins of Jena; one son, Keith Collins and wife Charlene of Jena; two daughters, Becky Collins of Jena and Paula Ashworth and husband Ricky of  Belah; sister, Mackie Molan of Tioga; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Collins of 
Jena, Trent Collins and wife Mary of Jena, Amber Collins Thane and husband Paul of Angleton, Kandi Collins Robertson of Jena, Kelli Clark of Belah, Marcus Clark of Jena, and Kari Collins Brooks and husband Patrick of Pollock; great grandchildren, Brandon Thane, Dylan Collins, Matelyn Collins, Joseph Brooks, Aiden Brooks, Brook Robertson, David Robertson, Alexis Robertson, Colton Robertson, Lilybelle Clark, and Austin Lewis.
Pallbearers were Trent Collins, Dylan Collins, Paul Thane, Rickey Ashworth, Gary Ganey, and Stevie Tingle. Honorary pallbearers wereJonathan Collins, Dennis Molan,  Daniel Molan, Roger Collins, Patrick Brooks, and Tim
Molan.
