Construction on the new $3.9 million UPS Midstream Services plant near Jena is nearing completion with a grand opening expected within the next month. The Migues Deloach Company, LLC, of Pineville, began construction last fall on the 20,000-sq.-ft. plant in the LaSalle Economic Development District’s industrial park on LA 8 near the Jena Airport. David Grant, UPS Field Services Coordinator and construction supervisor, said another 20,000-sq.-ft. building would be erected directly behind this one as soon as weather permits.
