The Department of Education last week released the proposed formula for the 2014-15 Minimum Foundation Program (MFP), which includes a sizeable increase for the LaSalle Parish School System. According to figures provided by the DOE, LaSalle Parish will receive $15,748,279 in MFP funding for the current 2013-14 school year, and that figure will increase by $443,832 for year 2014-15, giving the parish a total of $16,192,110 in MFP funding for next year.
