Jena High art students Torei Farris, Ty Cooper and Breanna Morace were awarded first place at the 2014 Youth Art Council of America (YACA) State Convention at the Wesley Center in Woodworth. The three students placed in photography (Farris), base-relief sculpture (Cooper) and Colored Drawing (Morace). YACA clubs and sponsors from across the state were in attendance. The students participated in a variety of art workshops and activities conducted by college professors from various universities. All clubs participated in art demonstrations and activities in addition to the workshops and competition.
