B. F. Claunch, 98, of Grayson, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at the Haven Nursing Center in Columbia Heights. He was born May 7, 1915 in Clarks to the union of his  parents, Vannah Esley and
Mary Ellen Mason Claunch. Mr. Claunch served his country in the United States Navy and was a member of the Old Bethel Baptist Church of Clarks. He was retired from Standard Dredging Corporation after 32 years of service. He was a Mason and member of the Michael Dempsey Lodge in Jena. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 26, from the chapel of Riser Funeral  Home of Columbia with Rev. Jimmy Goodman officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery of Rhinehart under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mollie L. Claunch; his parents; son, Donald Ray Claunch; grandson, Kevin Elliot Claunch; and granddaughter, Amber Christine Claunch. Survivors include three sons, Charles E. Claunch and wife Dina of Santa Fe, TX, Jerry P. Claunch and wife Shirley of Las Cruces, NM, and Robert E. Claunch and wife Bonnie of Texas City, TX; granddaughter, Paula of Littleton, CO; three grandsons, Scott Claunch of Alberqurque, NM, Robert Claunch, Jr. of Pearland, TX, and Anthony Claunch of Galveston, TX; eight great grandchildren and
three great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Scott David Claunch, Robert E. Claunch, Jr., Anthony Claunch, Russell Price, Charles Bird, and John Reitzell
