LaSalle’s April jobless rate fall

The jobless rate in LaSalle Parish fell by.5-percent from March to April, as the number of people employed in the parish rose by 74 during the same time period, according to figures just released by the Louisiana Workforce Commission. The low price of crude oil continues to depress employment in parishes in Louisiana where large numbers of jobs depend on the oilfield.
