Collections up 3% parish wide

Retail sales in LaSalle Parish rose by about three percent parish wide during the past fiscal year ending June 30, 2017, according to figures released by the Concordia Sales Tax Collection Agency, which collect sales taxes for several bodies in the parish.

After seeing retail sales drop by about 17.5-percent between the years of 2014- 15 and 2015-16, officials are hopeful that the economy has balanced out and that a steady increase in sales will be in the future.
