The Jena Giants have had two of the greatest seasons in their football program’s history the last two years. But apparently it wasn’t good enough as the team comes into this season wanting to go further in the playoffs and with the ultimate goal of playing for a state championship in the Louisiana Superdome.

The Giants definitely have all of the pieces to have another great season and go on a run through the state playoffs. The pieces that good teams need to make long playoff runs always seems to be experience, talent, and coaching. The Giants have experience as they return 16 starters off of a team last year that made it to the 2nd round of the state playoffs.
