An interview of Jena native and football standout, Casey Boyett, made headlines in the USA Today Network newspapers prior to the game between LSU and BYU on the Saturday before Labor Day. Glenn Guilbeau with USA Today Network had interviewed Boyett before the game.

“Casey Boyett cannot decide which team to pull for Saturday — his beloved Brigham Young University or his state school, LSU, which he grew up watching and idolizing star tailback Billy Cannon from 1957-59 as a boy in Jena.
