The Jena Giants started district play this past week as the Avoyelles Mustangs came to town. The Giants would definitely be tested on their focus this week coming off the big win over ASH and having homecoming festivities all week.

The Mustangs came into the game looking to pull off the upset with one of their most talented teams in recent memory. Avoyelles came into the game with a 3-2 record with the only losses coming to Welsh and Livonia who are two well respected programs in the state. A lot of people had the Giants as the favorite to win the district but they also had Avoyelles as a dark horse to maybe win it so this would be a big test for both teams.
