Large Concern Continues in America

Something this writer has definitely noticed while traveling around the world is the vast difference between the general overall eating habits of Americans vs. everyone else. I must say I don’t prefer our typical American leanings of supersized fries and sodas and burgers, and I’m glad. I try to eat a balanced diet and only splurge on fries and burgers occasionally. So, when I spotted an article addressing obesity I took notice.

“America’s weight problem isn’t getting any better, according to new government research. Overall, obesity figures stayed about the same: About 40 percent of adults are obese and 18.5 percent of children. Those numbers are a slight increase from the last report but the difference is so small that it could have occurred by chance.
