Four EF2 tornadoes hit area

The top story for LaSalle Parish in 2017 occurred on Sunday, April 2nd, when four EF2 tornadoes hit areas of the parish within a short time of each other, doing extensive damage.

It was hard to single out one individual story which was more important than others, but the staff of the Times/Signal felt that La- Salle Parish being struck by four EF2 tornadoes was a historic event. This weather event followed a year when historic flooding occurred in the parish – the great flood of the Spring of 2016.

There were several other major events/series of events in the parish during the year just ended.
