Hansford Alton Taylor, 88, of Olla, passed from this life on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at the St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center in Alexandria.

He was born November 30, 1929 in Sikes to the union of his parents, Herbert and Gracie Taylor.

As a young man, Mr. Taylor served his country in the United States Army. He then lived on the California Coast in Fort Bragg, and worked for Georgia-Pacific for 42 years.

After his retirement, he moved back to his roots in Olla.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 10, in the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla with Rev. Brian Rankin officiating.

Interment followed in the Olla Cemetery under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ginger Taylor of Olla; daughters, Beth Parker of Sikes, and Iris Malek of Loomis, CA; son, Rick Taylor of Kent, WA; grandchildren, Weylon Malek of Perth W, Australia, Kira Middleton of Eureka, CA, Bryon Taylor of Meridian, ID, and Krissy Parker of Sikes; great-grandchildren, Makena Middelton of Eureka, CA, Landon Taylor of Meridian, ID, Addyson Taylor of Meridian, ID, and Avory Taylor of Meridian, ID.

Pallbearers were Michael Taylor, Kim Taylor, Preston Cherry, Jaden Sanders, Tim Wesson, and Gene Sten.
