Early voting for the March 24th school board tax renewal election is now underway and will continue through this coming Saturday, March 17, according to LaSalle Registrar of Voters Angie Sandifer. Voters can cast early ballots at the Registrar’s office, across the street from the LaSalle Parish Courthouse, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day through Saturday.

At the March 24th special election, the LaSalle Parish School Board has scheduled a tax renewal proposition for a 21-mills tax on all property subject to taxation in the entire parish. This tax has been on the tax rolls for decades and is one of the primary sources of income for the school system.
