Douglas “Doug” Earland Robertson, 79, of Jena, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2108, at his residence. He was born March 31, 1939 to the family of Howard Earl Lee and Artis Vernon Boddie Robertson. Doug was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Air Force, and was a business owner in the construction industry in Jena for many years. Services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, at East Jena Baptist Church with the Revs. Bobby McGee and Ricky Gresham officiating. Interment followed in the Hair Cemetery near Jena under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Dolores Ann Robertson; and a brother, Donald Davis Robertson. Those left to cherish his memory include five children, Carolyn Jean Lacks and husband Jim of Halifax, VA, Douglas Bryan Robertson and wife Rhonda, Dana Denay Chapman and husband Josh, Deborah LaShay Girlinghouse and husband Kurt, and DeAnn Renee Vickers and husband Casey, all of Jena, and thirteen Grandchildren. Pallbearers were his son, Douglas Bryan Robertson; three grandchildren, Kyle Lacks, Grant Lacks, and Hunter Robertson; and nephews, Henry Robertson and Donnie Robertson
