Ola S. Brown

Ola S. Brown, 66, of Jena, received her wings and entered into eternal rest to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 25, 2018. She was born Nov. 28, 1951 to the union of Jim and Helen Brown. Ola accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Trout Creek Baptist Church where she remained faithful until her death. She was an active member until her health failed her. Services were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 3, at Trout Creek Baptist Chuch with Pastor Jamerson Jackson officiating. Interment followed in the Webster Cemetery of Good Pine under direction of Gayden Funeral Home of Jena. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Linda Brown. She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Jamie Brown and Glyn Brown; her daughters, LaMona B. Wallace and Tameka B. Thomas; her grandchildren, Sheneka Thomas, Vernon James, Jr., Monica James, O’Daryon Wallace, Danasia Thomas, Unique Thomas, Terron Thomas, Jr., Glyn Brown, Jr., Annie Brown, and Kammie Washington; three great grandchildren, Jordan, Jace, and Kamryn; five brothers, Larry, Barry, Bennie, Roger Dale, and Terry Brown; four sisters, Gayle, Sheila, Ellen, and Sandra; two aunts, Josephine and Rose; three special friends, Mary Washington, Sandra Webster, and Rose McCoy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Pallbearers were Kenneth Purvis, Jordan Dangerfield, Lance Brown, Kevin Brown, Roger Brown, Jr. and Ray Brinson, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Jamie Brown, Glyn Brown, Terron Thomas, Terron Thomas, Jr., Vernon James, Jr., Jeff Wallace, Daryon Wallace, Glyn Brown, Jr., Larry Brown, Barry Brown, Roger Dale Brown, Terry Brown, Bennie Brown, Charles Washington, and Alex Rhodes, Sr.
