Kenny Mikey and Riley Roam (a.k.a. Page Turner) with Page Turner Adventures, along with Jase Lisenby as Vincent Van Dough, Bradley Nagler as Mayor Ann Chovi, Karissa Shell as Nan Chovi and Brody Rogers as Leonardo Da Munchi, perform the story, “The Great Pizza Contest,” during the LaSalle Parish Library’s Summer Reading Program Grand Finale at the library in Olla last week. In the interactive performance, the entire audience became the citizens of Mozzarella and helped Mayor Ann Chovi decide whether Vincent Van Dough or Leonardo Da Munchi made the best pizza in town. This tasty tale of conflict resolution is based on the book by Roam. Page Turner Adventures is an Emmy Award-winning company that produces hilarious shows that use the double whammy of comedy and stories to educate, entertain and engage children. The program was provided in collaboration with the McKinney-Vento Foundation and was the finale to another successful summer reading program, which saw upwards of 150 children attending the Friday programs each week.
