Martha B. Bradford

Martha Bynog Bradford, 77, of Melville, went to be with the Lord at 2:34 a.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2018, while living at her daughter’s home in Jonesville. She was born in Natchitoches, and was diagnosed with cancer in February 2018. Mrs. Bradford was happy, cheerful and loved to travel. She was a faithful organist to the First Pentecostal Church of Melville and First Pentecostal Church of Starks for over 50 years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services were held at 7 p.m., Friday, July 13, in the First Pentecostal Church of Melville. Pastor Samuel Ham officiated at the service and committal. Interment followed at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 14, in the Pine Grove Cemetery at Rhinehart under direction of LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Melville. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew “Matt” Spell; sister, Patsy Ann Bynog; brother, Baron Bynog, Jr; and her parents, Baron and Margie V. Leo Bynog. She is survived by her husband, Herbert Ray Bradford of Jonesville; son, Wendell Ray Bradford and wife Chelly of Sulphur; daughter, Gwendolyn Bradford of Jonesville; sister, Rosemary Young and husband Jay of Grand Prairie, TX; three grandchildren, Tyler Spell, Katie Bradford and Camden Bradford. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Martha’s grandson, James Matthew Spell.
