It will be a special night at Guy Campbell Memorial Stadium Thursday night, August 30, as the Jena Giants open their 2018 season against historic rival Winnfield. Making the night extra special is the recognition of LaSalle Parish’s football coach with the most wins: Mack Fowler.

“We wanted to do something for the man who coached LaSalle Parish athletes for some 26 years and has the most wins in football of all coaches including his time as La- Salle and Jena’s head coach,” Jena Head Coach Jay Roark said. “It will be a night to recognize him for all those years and successes.”

Titled “Mack Fowler Night,” the celebrations will begin at 5:30 in the Home Economics building of Jena High where friends, former players, coaches, educators, etc., can visit with the coach before the game. Refreshments will also be provided during this reception.
