Early enrollment figures for the public and private school students in LaSalle Parish shows a very slight decrease from the past school year, according to figures released this week. Enrollment in public and private schools decreased from 2,848 last year to 2,845 this year – a decrease of only three students.

However, when you add in the students who are home schooled, plus other students enrolled in private schools not seeking state approval in the parish, the total number of students in the parish is much higher. It is estimated that another 100 or so students fall into this category.
