Jerry W. Lloyd

Jerry Warren Lloyd, 62, of Trout, passed from this life on October 23, 2018 in Shreveport following a brief illness.
He was born March 14, 1956 in Jena to the union of his parents, Rev. Walter and Dixie Lloyd.
Jerry was a bright spirited soul and was loved by everyone who knew him. He enjoyed hog hunting, deer hunting and duck hunting with his father. He loved riding horses and was an avid reader as well.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 26, in the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home in Jena with the Revs. Brandon Poole and Mickey Hudnall officiating.
Interment followed in the Woodland Cemetery, east of Jena, under direction of Kinner and Stevens, Inc. of Jena.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Greg Lloyd; and a brother-in-law, Ed McClure.
Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss are his wife, Brenda Jane Lloyd of Jena; one daughter, Katie Elliott and husband Aaron of Shreveport; one son, Jacob Lloyd of Bentonville, AR; one sister, Susie Lloyd of Jena; three grandchildren, Gabriel, Moses, and Elijah Elliott and a host of nieces, nephews, brother and sisters-in-law, and his mother and father-in-law.
Pallbearers were Bard Lambeth, Barry Rainey, Bear Pritchard, Dennis DeVille, Rocky Ray, and Toby Peppers, with David Hudnall serving as an honorary pallbearer.
