JHS Hall of Fame inductees honored

A capacity crowd was on hand last Thursday night for the annual Jena High School Alumni Association’s banquet at which three former JHS graduates and one TGP graduate were inducted into the JHS Hall of Fame.
The banquet was held at the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church in Jena with W. B. “Bo” McCartney serving as Master of Ceremonies. After a brief welcome, Boy Scout Troop 14 presented the colors and led in saying the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag, and Ron Carr led in singing the Alma Mater.
Before the meal, JHS graduate Rev. Johnnie Phillips, pastor of United Baptist Church, gave the invocation and blessed the food. At the close of the program, Rev. Truman Stagg, pastor of Nolley Memorial Methodist Church, gave the benediction.
