My early visits to Olla Fair recalled

The 111th edition of the North Central Louisiana District Fair gets underway today, November 7, at the fairgrounds in Standard, just north of Olla.
The fair was first held in 1908, before there was a LaSalle Parish. It was organized as the Central Louisiana Free Fair and served three parishes – Catahoula, Caldwell and Grant.
Two years after the fair was organized, LaSalle Parish was created from part of Catahoula Parish and the fair then served the same area but four parishes – LaSalle, Catahoula, Caldwell and Grant.
