Oscar Alan Thompson, II, 25, of Selma, Texas, entered eternal rest on Friday, November 16, 2018 at University Hospital in the arms of his loving family.

Known as Alan to his loved ones, he was a member of Anacoco First Baptist Church and a Northwestern State University Alumni Member.

He was born in Alexandria, LA on January 29, 1993.

Alan attended Anacoco Junior High School and was a member of the track team where he attained a gold medal in long-jump. Alan went on to graduate from Leesville High School in Leesville, as part of the Class of 2011.

He attended Louisiana State University for three years and later transferred to Northwestern State University to attain his bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Management. After he graduated, he used his degree in order to pursue his career in managing diversified businesses under Glenn Williams and Associates Incorporated.

Alan enjoyed life, he loved to flip, ride jet skis, skate with his brother, and exercise.

Services were at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 21, in the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home in Jena with the Revs. Durhl Davis and Gary Norris officiating.

Interment followed in Belah Cemetery in the Belah Community under direction of Kinner and Stevens, Inc. of Jena.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather and grandmother, Jesse Clifford and Jolene Cooper Thompson; and grandfather, Claude Warren Price; and maternal Uncle Tommy Warren Price.

He is survived by his parents, Oscar Alan and Teresa Price Thompson; his brother, Jesse Thompson; and maternal grandmother Jewell Taylor Price.

Pallbearers honored to serve were Trey Dowden, Jamal Harrell, Kace Hollingsworth, Robert Kerr, Dustin Nash, Dennis Stein, and Jay Slaydon.

Honorary pallbearers were Belal Alammar, Brian Brown, Danny Price, Johnny Rollins, Brandon Seaman, Jesse Thompson, and Glenn Williams.
