Jena Giants fight hard to the end but come up short

The Jena Giants earned the #20 seed in the class 3A state playoffs after finishing the season with a 17-11 record and 6-4 in district, which was good enough for 2nd place in district.

The Giants came into this season looking for a playoff win as the last two years have seen the Giants earn home playoff games for the 1st round but have come up short in both games. This year the Giants would have to go on the road to take on the #13 Northwest Raiders of Opelousas.

The Giants had a lot of confidence coming into the game as they brought a veteran roster, which included mostly juniors and seniors into the game.
