Nebo student gets 2019 service award

Nebo Elementary Sixth Grader Hannah Zeagler was awarded the Louisiana Volunteer Service Award by Volunteer Louisiana. The Louisiana Volunteer Service Award recognizes groups and individuals who serve with distinction, demonstrate excellence and have contributed 150 or more hours of service in a calendar year.

Zeagler was also nominated for a 2019 Champions of Service Award by a member of her community. The Champions of Service Awards recognize outstanding volunteers who demonstrate compassion and dedication, leadership and initiative, or innovation and creativity in addressing community challenges.

She enjoys volunteering in her community and across the state. This past year she has volunteered for St. Jude, The Ronald McDonald House, Autism Speaks, Families Helping Families, The Mana House and Special Olympics.
