Worthington to receive honor posthumously

Jena native Ginger Denise Worthington was recently selected to receive a prestigious award posthumously.

Worthington, who died August 9, 2017, was recently chosen to join the National Society of Leadership and Success, Sigma Alpha Pi, through The Walden University for the Spring Semester 2019.

This is the largest collegiate leadership honor society in the United States with more than 600 chapters and nearly a million members nationwide.

Melvin and Coral Worthington, the proud parents of Ginger, received the invitation in February from Danielle Sarnicola, Online Chapter Advisor and Julie Ogren, Chapter Advisor.
