Edith Marie Meredith of Conroe, Texas, and formerly of Jena, passed from this life on Friday, December 27, 2019 in her residence in Conroe.

She was born September 20, 1914 and was 105 years old at her death.

Ms. Marie, as she was affectionately known by all, was a bright spirited soul, full of life, enjoying every moment. She was a devout Christian that loved her Lord and Savior.

She spent her time working as a seamstress and enjoyed quilting. She will be sorely missed by all who had opportunity to meet her, as she never met a stranger.

Services were held Tuesday, Dec. 31, in the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home in Jena with Rev. Harvey Blasingame officiating.

Interment followed in Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Nebo under direction of Kinner and Sevens, Inc.of Jena.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James E. and Leonie (Bignar) Yule; one son, Ralph E. Meredith; sisters, Mattie Girlinghouse, Vera Barron, Velma Blasingame, Minnie Metchette, and Kathrine Paul; two brothers, Dave Yule and James E. Yule, Jr; and one grandson, Judah Teinert.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Ronnie Meredith, and wife Zady of Dallas, TX, and Jimmie Meredith and wife Karen of Denton, TX; one daughter, Lucia Teinert and husband John of Conroe TX; her grandchildren, Gregory Meredith, Amy Rowden, David Meredith, Jamie Meredith, Dylan Meredith, Justin Acker, Stephanie Reiken, Jessica O’dell, Bree Teinert, and Josiah Teinert.
