Everett “Crusty” Toler

Everett “Crusty” Toler, 71, of Jena, and an avid Jena Giants sports fan, entered eternal rest on Friday, February 28, 2020, at his residence.

He was born July 6, 1948 at Jena to the union of his parents, Everett and Stella Toler.

Crusty was a native of Jena and attended Pritchard Baptist Church. He was a retired Tugboat Captain and enjoyed fishing, hunting and all sports. He was a member of the “Ole Boys” Club.

He was very much into politics, consistently inviting national, state and local elected officials to speak at the “Ole Boys” Club, which met weekly in Jena. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, March 2, at Pritchard Baptist Church in the Old River Community with Rev. Terry Doughty officiating.

Interment followed in the Pine Grove Cemetery of Rhinehart under direction of Rush Funeral Home of Pineville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of forty-six years, Paula Greer Toler of Jena; three brothers, Albert “Muchie” Toler and wife Rhonda, Jake Toler and Delbert “Black” Toler, all of Jena; and a host of nieces, nephews and godchildren.

Pallbearers were Ricky Norris, June Fowler, Craig Toler, Graig Toler, Ronnie Loe and Lloyd Price.

Honorary pallbearers were members of the “Ole Boys” Club.
