Hall of Fans inductee has family living here

Janel Carbajo of Spring Hill, Kansas, will be inducted into the Ford Hall of Fans in August for her devotion to the Kansas City Chiefs NFL football team where she is known as “The Puppet Lady.”

For many years now the 31-year season ticket holder Carbajo has attended games with two boxing puppets, one of the Kansas City Chiefs and the other of the opposing team, where she fights the puppets during the games.

She was informed of her induction just prior to the Super Bowl this past January, where her beloved Chief’s beat the San Francisco 49ers 31-20.

Carbojo is the daughter of Mary Anderson of Overbrook, Kansas, who is the sister of Margaret Kuhn of Jena. She has many first and second cousins living in LaSalle Parish, including the Neal’s and Doughty’s.

Carbojo, 58, is married to Tom and they have three children, Kaden, Kelsey, and Macy.
